Two bars stand out in that list. The S95TR, S95QR and DS95QR boxes add a second set of wall brackets for the wireless rear speakers, and the S30A’s online manual has no wall chapter at all, so that bar comes with no LG mounting method to follow.
The table also shows why one search for an LG bracket can mean three different parts. Three of these bars hang from the TV on parts made for it, and the rest go on the wall with parts already in the box.
What Screws and Wall Plugs Does an LG Wall Bracket Need?
Those boxes share one gap: the hardware that holds the bracket to the wall. LG’s manuals list bracket screws and wall plugs as sold separately and recommend Hilti HUD-1 6 x 30 wall plugs (LG).
The Sound Suite H7’s manual is the only one read here that names a screw as well. It recommends M4 x 35 mm bracket screws with those Hilti plugs, and it asks for a wall that can take the bar’s weight and vibration, such as concrete, natural stone, structural brick or a wood stud (LG).
Think of the box as half a kit: LG supplies everything that touches the bar, and you supply everything that touches your wall. That split is why the plugs and screws belong on the shopping list before the drill comes out.
The newer manuals, from the S95TR down to the S60T and the Sound Suite H7, add two cautions. Leave a screw loose and the bar can tilt or tip over, while too much force can strip the screw joint.

Once the hardware is sorted, height is the next decision. LG’s manuals for bars with speakers on top ask for 10 cm (3.9 inches) between the bottom of the TV and the bar.
That covers every bar in the first three rows of the table above, from the S95TR to the Sound Suite H7. The reason is in the same sentence of each manual: these bars also have speakers on top.
For the S60T, S60TR, S60Q and S40Q, the manuals give no gap figure. The paper guide still sets the spot, because its “TV Bottom Line” lines up with the bottom edge of a mounted TV and its “TV Center” mark with the middle of the screen.
A quick test helps before you drill. Tape the guide up, stand back at your seat and check that the bar’s position looks centered with the screen, since moving a mark later means a second set of holes.
Which LG Soundbars Mount Directly to an LG TV?
The guide and the 10 cm gap apply to wall brackets. The SC9S, SQ70TY and SQ75TR skip the wall bracket and fix to the TV itself, but only to the LG sets their manuals list.

The SC9S list stops at the C4 (LG). A C5 or a G-series owner won’t find a synergy bracket for their set in this manual, and the same goes for any QNED model missing from the SQ lists.
LG’s US store also lists a QNED soundbar synergy bracket sold on its own, the BT5-2P. None of the soundbar manuals read for this guide names it, and LG’s own site couldn’t be checked here, so which bars and sets it fits stays unconfirmed.

How Does the SC9S Synergy Bracket Attach to an LG OLED?
That C2 to C4 list matters because the bracket hooks into the TV’s own holes. LG’s steps fix a spacer sized to your screen to the front synergy bracket, feed the cables through the bracket’s hole, screw the bracket to the bottom of the bar, then hook it into the back of the TV and fix it with four screws.
The SC9S box carries two spacers, one for the 77-inch C-series and one for the 55- and 65-inch sets. Using the wrong one is the first mistake to rule out, so check the spacer against your screen size before any screw goes in.
LG says more than two people are needed for the job. It also asks you to take off the TV’s stand or wall bracket first, in the reverse order of assembly, following the TV’s manual.
The rear synergy bracket decides the rest. On a TV stand, it screws onto the front bracket and LG says it must be attached for safety, while on a wall you connect the bar’s cables and then hang the TV following the TV’s own manual.
Which LG Wall Mounts Work With the SQ70TY and SQ75TR?
The QNED bars take a different route from the SC9S. Their WOW Bracket works only on a wall-mounted QNED, and only one hung on LG’s WB24GC (55 to 75 inches), WB24GD (86 inches), WB21LM or WB21LG wall mount (LG).
So the shopping step for these two bars is the TV mount, not a soundbar bracket. Amazon searches for the WB24GC, WB21LG and WB21LM on 20 Oct 2026 found none of LG’s mounts listed with enough reviews to recommend, so look for them through LG or an LG dealer.
The bracket itself fixes to the back of the QNED with four M4 x 16 mm screws, and the bar sits on it with two M4 x 12 mm screws once TV and bar are centered. You pick the holder that matches your TV model and attach it to the bracket, and LG warns never to reuse the TV’s own screws and says more than four people are needed.

Which LG Soundbar Mount Fits When Your Bar Has No LG Bracket?
The TV brackets above cover only listed sets, and some bars have no LG bracket at all. A universal soundbar mount fills that gap, as long as its rated load covers your bar’s weight and its fixing method suits the bar’s underside.
LG’s wall steps fix the bar through screw holes in its bottom, which tells you what to look for. EchoGear’s EGAV-SSBWM1 manual is a good example of a universal mount that spells this out: it holds up to 20 lbs (9.0 kg), screws into bars with threaded holes underneath using its own M4, M5 or M6 screws, and works as a shelf for bars without them (EchoGear).
LG’s online manuals read here give each bar’s dimensions but not its weight. Check the weight on the box or LG’s spec sheet before you match it to a mount’s rating, and keep the 10 cm gap for bars with top speakers whatever bracket holds them.

The same thinking applies to a bar that lost its LG bracket in a move. Third-party replacement brackets are sold by LG model number for older bars, but none of those models has a manual read here, so check that the listing names your exact model.
Can a Universal Mount Hang an LG Soundbar From the TV?
Some readers want the TV-hanging look without an SC9S or SQ bar. A universal TV-mounted bracket does that by fixing to the TV’s VESA screw pattern and holding the bar above or below the screen.

Treat LG’s own rules as the floor here too. The 10 cm gap under the TV still applies to bars with top speakers, and LG’s manuals for the TV-bracket bars say those brackets fit only the sets they list.

Where Do LG’s Rear Speakers Mount?
Bars with wireless rear speakers bring one more mounting job. The S95TR, S95QR and DS95QR boxes include wall brackets and screws for the rear speakers, and like the bar’s bracket they need wall plugs and screws you buy separately.
LG’s rear-speaker steps are short: check the spot, fix the brackets to the wall, set each speaker on its bracket with the screw holes lined up, then screw it in. The plugs and screws for them sit on the same sold-separately list as the bar’s.
